Founded in 1970 our Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter has helped thousands of children in Will, Grundy, Kane Kankakee, Kendall as well as 6 other counties. BBBS operates under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential.
BBBS is the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network – we make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through young adulthood in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Our mentor2.0 program makes meaningful matches with high school students (“Mentees”) enrolled at Joliet Township District 204 with college-educated mentors for 3 years to guide them to high school graduation and onto their post-secondary goals.
