Child Safety
Seat Law
Illinois state
law requires that children under the age of
8 be secured in a an appropriate child
safety seat, whether that be a car seat or
booster seat. Children under 8 but
weighing more than 40 lbs. may ride in the
back seat with a lap belt only if there are
no lap/should belts in the vehicle.
Also, children 8-16 must be buckled in a
seat belt. |

Tax Information For
Bigs |
|
Bigs
can deduct on Schedule A of their 1040 (if
you itemize) out-of-pocket expenses incurred
on behalf of your Little. Expenses include
things such as admission costs and meals;
however, you cannot deduct the portion of
costs related to yourself. So keep you
receipts from your activities together! (Rev.Ru.
70-519, 1970-2 CB 62, IRC Sec(s). 170)
As a Big you can claim a deduction for any
mileage utilized in charitable activities,
which is any activity you do for the agency
or with your Little. Corporate Bigs, you can
claim the mileage driving to and from your
